The Saints got up early this morning and spent some time at the White House with President Obama in Washington, DC. There’s been talk of the Saints making this trip for a while now, so it was good to see them actually go. This marks what I hope is the last Super Bowl winning fanfare this team will see. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll remember the victory as long as I live, but there’s a season to get focused on. If it were up to me, this trip would have been made before training camp started. The routing of the trip worked well, though, because the Saints are staying on the east coast this week practicing with the Patriots before their preseason game on Thursday night.
