
It’s not the long term deal he had hoped for, nor is it the long term deal most fans are rooting for as it would lock him up for the forseeable future. Still, he’s back at practice and he’s committed to the team for all of 2011 for now. With how crazy this offseason has been and the shortened timeline the front office has had to work with, his 1 year contract will have to suffice for now. Locking him up long term is still a must, but this buys the team time to make that happen. For the time being it’s nice to see him back amongst his teammates.
