The Donovan McNabb rumors continue to circulate but another rumor became reality this afternoon as the Birds dealt OLB Chris Gocong and disgruntled CB Sheldon Brown to Cleveland. The Eagles have received LB Alex Hall and two draft picks (105 and 137 overall) as compensation for their lost veterans.
Not a bad deal really. The writing was on the wall with Brown wanting out and Gocong has always been more suited for a 3-4 style defense. The Eagles stockpile a few more draft picks that should give them some more ammo for draft day trading.
