What I like is his attitude

Embracing a whatever-it-takes approach, Tony Ugoh apparently is on the move.

The Colts’ former offensive left tackle worked at left guard during Thursday’s organized team activity (OTA).

“I told ’em wherever they needed me,” Ugoh said. “My big thing this year is I want to play. I don’t care where it’s at.”

The 2007 second-round draft pick started 23 regular-season games at left tackle his first two seasons before losing his job to Charlie Johnson last year. Ugoh started four games at left tackle in 2009, but only when injuries kept Johnson out of the lineup.

The 6-5, 301-pound Ugoh acknowledged he’ll have to learn guard responsibilities as he goes.

“This is my first go at guard,” he said. “But it’s just one step over (from tackle). I’ll be all right.”

Ugoh was a good run blocker, guard might work.
