The last time around, before the Colts started turning to their J.V. unit in the third quarter, Manning wasn’t shy about taking a few exploratory tours of Revis Island. Wayne managed only three receptions for 33 yards, but he separated himself from Revis on what would’ve been a 4-yard touchdown (had Manning not thrown high and outside), and again on what would’ve been at least a 40-yard completion (had Manning not thrown long).
“So I’m sure he’s going to try to come after me,” Revis said. “Reggie Wayne is his go-to guy, and Peyton’s not going away from that. I think I’ll have that red target on me all game.”
