Josh Beckett arrived at the clubhouse at 8am this morning…and was checked out by the doctors. Josh said he feels better, but still feels like he was hit in the head. He reported that in addition to the headache yesterday, he was also experiencing dizziness and a hard time negotiating the stairs. Let’s hope it’s no big deal, but I’ll be honest…concussions scare the bejesus out of me…no matter how mild. Josh was held out of all activity today and his next start on Thursday is still questionable.
WEEI had some quotes from Beckett:
“You go through a lot of emotions. At first, you’re pissed because you don’t know what happened. I tried to walk and got real dizzy and took a knee. I had no idea what happened.”
And about Ino hitting him…
“He feels terrible,” Beckett said. “Was it stupid? Yes. It was very stupid. I think he realizes that now. No sense in making him feel worse than he already does.”
