So obviously my post yesterday was an April Fools joke. If anyone actually went through the trouble to translate the story back into English, it was semi-understandable, so I’ll put what I originally typed and translated below. The point of the joke was that French is the official language of the Cameroon and they have a small town near the Atlantic coast named Victoria, and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute is from the Cameroon. Hope you enjoyed. I noticed this is the first year the Times did anything for April Fools so we’ll have to come up with something better next year.

International Sports Report: Congratulations from Your Homeland
We, the great citizens of Victoria, Cameroon, would like to congratulate Luc Richard Mbah a Moute and Alfred Aboya for leading their college basketball team, the University of California at Los Angeles Bruins to the final four in San Antonio, Texas. Their journey has been long and hard, but they succeeded and now can follow in the footsteps of such legends as Dikembe Mutombo, Hakeem Olajuwon, and Cameroon’s own, Ruben Boumtje-Boumtje. Mbah a Moute must lead his team to two more victories this weekend to be the champions of the United States. First, they must play against Tigers from Memphis. We were surprised to learn that the former capitol of ancient Egypt had a team. We Africans know the risk that tigers pose, and we are confident that Mbah a Moute will be prepared with a bow and arrow to defeat these beasts and bring the hides back to his homeland for a great feast after they win the tournament.
