During the pre-game show on TNT tonight, Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley and Chris Webber revealed the all-star reserves for each team. Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo all made the team via coaches votes and Rondo was interviewed by the crew to discuss his second selection. Rondo discussed what it was like playing with 4 hall of famers, his thoughts on being an all-star again and if he really challenged Usain Bolt to a race. Rondo said he didn't, with a laugh and a smile. In fact, just as I pointed out on Twitter, the TNT crew got Rondo to laugh and smile more in 4 minutes than he has in 4 years during the usual local interviews.
One more tidbit when asked if it surprises him that he's the best player on the Celtics now, considering he was looked at as the weakest link a few years ago. His response: "It doesn't really surprise me." He did point out that everyone has a role and plays it well. Check the clip below for the full interview:
