Belarus: After having a relatively quiet tournament so far, Lightning defensive 
prospect Dmitry Korobov has started to leave his mark in his country’s games. He has recorded three assists and is a plus 4. After defeating Latvia and falling to Russia, the host country will meet Sweden in the quarterfinals on Thursday.
Latvia: Kristers Gudlevskis’ tournament came to an end with his team’s 3-2 loss against Switzerland on 
Tuesday. He played in four games at the World Championships, recording one win in last wee’s 6-5 upset victory over the United States. He finishes the tournament with a .891 save percentage and a 3.79 goals-against average.
Russia: Bolts goaltending prospect Andrei Vasilevskiy 
continues to gain recognition for his play at the Worlds. While he has served as Sergei Bobrovsky’s backup for most of the tournament, he recently earned a 3-0 shutout victory against Germany on Sunday. He has stopped 66 of 67 shots he has faced. Vasy also carries a .985 save percentage and a 0.50 GAA. Russia will take on France in the quarterfinals tomorrow.
Slovakia: Richard Panik and his teammates defeated Denmark 4-3 in their 
quarterfinal matchup today. Panik continues to be held scoreless, but has appeared in every game thus far for Slovakia.
United States: Tyler Johnson officially left his mark 
on the tournament in recent days. He scored two of Team USA’s goals in Sunday’s 3-1 victory over Finland. The Americans punched their ticket to the quarterfinals with a wild, back and forth 5-4 victory against Germany. Johnson also continues to get the job done in the circle, as he won 45.83% of his faceoffs in that game. The USA will play the Czech Republic in the quarterfinals tomorrow.
