Dave Parker’s rookie card appears in the 1974 Topps set, and is one of the most desirable cards from that set.
In addition to Topps, he appeared in the many classic food-related card sets of the 1970s, including the popular 3-D Kelloggs cards.
In the 1980s Donruss and Fleer broke Topps’s monopoly. Parker was a member of the initial class of Donruss Diamond Kings in 1982.
That same year Fleer, always the leader in interesting candid photos, showed a great image of a smiling Parker with Gary Carter.
In 1985, Parker traded the black and yellow of the Pirates for the red of Cincinnati, the first of several stops toward the end of his career.
Still a big star, Parker appeared in many of the various food sets of the 1980s.
He also appeared in some of the unlicensed cards that appeared at this time.
1989 saw Parker in an Oakland A’s uniform, here in the inaugural Upper Deck set.
His World Series heroics were commemorated on a Fleer card in 1990.
Parker was soon traded again, this time to the Brewers. His airbrushed hat on this Hills Hit Men card needs some work.
Parker finished up his career with brief appearances on the Angels…
…and Blue Jays.
Since his playing career ended Parker has appeared on a variety of modern cards, such as this 1999 Sports Illustrated Greats of the Game.
His most recent card was in the 2015 Topps Gypsy Queen set.
