I noted a mild concern for Oregon after week 1, and their threat of bird attacks. My issue has been with their constantly changing uniform (thereby rendering it not actually a uniform) rather than the design itself. Over the course of the past couple of years, the uniforms actually have deteriorated into something fairly ridiculous, on top of changing every week.
Against Fresno State on Saturday Oregon did something right. They brought out the grey helmets, which I think worked well. Despite the cluttered mess that were the shoulder pads, the continuously garish color combo and the increasing roboticization (new word) of the common duck, they managed to make their helmets not be overtly offensive! So, congratulations, Oregon. I guess.
