Ben Cherington was on MLB Network Radio today and said that the Red Sox are continuing to have discussions with free agent closer Ryan Madson and his agent. The Red Sox appear to be in the driver’s seat with Madson because most of his other options have dried up. Cherington also said the Red Sox were looking at starting pitcher Joe Saunders.
