Terry Francona announced the order for starting pitchers in the ALDS after today’s game:
Game 1: Jon Lester
Game 2: Josh Beckett
Game 3: Clay Buchholz
“Lester is situated to come back on short rest (in Game 4) and Beckett could come back on normal rest on Game 5” Terry Francona -via Joe Haggerty of WEEI.
After today’s start I would have liked to have seen Dice-K in game 3 but Buchholz is capable of pitching very well. If the Red Sox can win the first two in Anaheim there will be no pressure on Buchholz.
