The streak is over at 11. Brad Penny was bad. Again. He went 2 2/3 giving up 7 hits, 4 walks and 7 runs (4 earned). The Red Sox offense bailed him out with 7 early runs but Lugo’s throwing error allowed the Indians to tie it up. In the bottom of the 9th the Indians scored the winning run on a grounder to Youk. He fielded it and underhanded it to Javi Lopez who dropped the ball allowing the winning run to score. A very tough loss because of the sloppy D and bad starting pitching. Both teams threw over 200 pitches and the game went over 4 hours.
