That’s two in a row for the Red Sox, this is the first time they have won back to back games all season. Jon Lester had some command problems but still pitched well enough to get his first win. He went six innings and gave up one earned run on six hits. Bard, Doubront, Jenks, and Wheeler then kept the Jays off of the board for the rest of the game.
Ellsbury got things started for the offense with a three-run blast in the second. Salty also had a big day at the plate with two hits and three RBIs . Some timely hits and quality pitching made for a great day for the Red Sox. Dice-K takes the hill tomorrow early (Patriot’s Day) to try to keep the streak alive.
