The Green: Despite grabbing 12 boards, Boston kept Tim Duncan quiet. He was a miserable 2 of 13 from the field for 5 points. Paul Pierce and Jason Terry kept the C’s close at times. Terry was absolutely on fire, dropping 17 first-half points and burying 4 of 9 from long range. Truth had 4 turnovers of his own, but still contributed in many facets-the Captain had 18 points, 5 boards, 4 assists, 3 steals & a block in 30 mins of playing time. Looking exhausted, KG still played solid defense on Duncan and had 13 & 6 in 30 minutes.
The Gross: Brandon Bass was M.I.A. tonight. Simply vanished. 2 points in 18 minutes. Have to also throw Rajon in the “gross” tonight. He again had 7 turnovers, (14 in last 2 gms) jogged back on defense and looked generally disinterested most of the night. And we have our first player to make “green” & “gross” in one game: Jet. His 17 pt. first-half was huge, but his 1 pt. 2nd-half, where we really needed him, was gross.
