Recap: I hate February basketball

Jax

The Bobcats wanted this win more than the Celtics… and they got it, 94-89.

How else can you explain the Celtics giving up 29 fourth quarter points? Or the 50-37 rebounding advantage for Charlotte?

Even Kwame Brown (4 points, 12 rebounds) played with some fire. After receiving an inadvertent smack to the head from Kendrick Perkins, Kwame went nose-to-nose with the Celtics center. The pair had to be separated. Kwame received a technical foul and the officials gave one to Paul Pierce for no apparent reason.

Bench play was a big problem for the Celtics. Led by Shaun Livingston (18 points) and Gerald Henderson Jr. (15 points), the Bobcats reserves outscored their Boston counterparts 44 – 15.

The Celtics are 5-7 on the second night of back-to-backs. Doc said it best in the post game press conference. The Celtics messed around for 3 quarters, tried to steal the win in the 4th but had nothing left. It's a familiar script.

Ray Allen (25 points) made two three-pointers. He needs one more to tie Reggie Miller's all-time record.

Stephen Jackson was ejected in the second quarter after receiving two quick technicals for complaining about a foul call.
