KG arrived in Harbin, China around 10pm EST last night. He was greeted by tons of fans, Anta representatives & local media. Garnett is travelling with some family members and Celtics strength & conditioning coach Bryan Doo. After heading back to his hotel for a bit, KG made his first official appearance at a large mall in Harbin. There, he took questions from the media, met with some lucky fans and officially unveiled the Anta KG III. We brought you the first pic of the away version of the KG3 over the weekend, & last night we saw the home version. Unfortunately the pics were taken from a distance, but I hope to have some more detailed shots soon.
The one thing that really blows me away about some of these pics is the amount of fans that turned-out. Now I know KG is huge worldwide, but this crowd rivaled some of the Sox & Celtics’ victory parades we had here in Boston recently. Fans were screaming, jockeying for position and some broke-out into tears at the mere sight of the Big Ticket. It’s very clear that China has much love for KG.
