I got to accomplish something on my Bucket List yesterday. I got to HUG David Ortiz….and it was AWESOME! Papi was at the Victoria’s Secret in Cambridge to promote their new items in their MLB Red Sox Pink line. We got word that Papi would be there at 2pm and he would take pictures with the first 100 people to show up. I got there early…got in line and not only got my picture taken with Papi, but also told him I was a NYer and a Sox fan, so I would love to get one of those famous Papi hugs….and low and behold, I got a big ol’ bear hug from Papi.
Basically this day was chuck full of awesome. My friend and I could not stop smiling and at the Cubs game last night, every time Papi came up to the plate, we referenced him as our Hug Buddy! I gotta tell ya if you ever get the chance to hug Papi, totally do it!
P.S. I bought a pair of the Sox pajama pants….and they are so soft and cuddly..it is like they are hugging me. Hugs all abound!
