
The 6’1″, 210 lbs. defenseman had two goals and three points in nine games with the Blackhawks in 2013-14. He averaged 14:26 minutes of ice time. The 26 year old is a top level AHL defenseman with 44 NHL games to his credit with Toronto and Chicago. He is signed to a one-year, two-way contract that pays him $325,000 annually even at the minor league level.
“Thor” played 52 games with the Norfolk Admirals Calder Cup Champion squad in 2011-12, netting seven goals and 42 points. Coach Jon Cooper is very familiar with him. He is a puck moving defenseman who is best known for his fluke, OT goal in game four of the Calder Cup Finals in Toronto.
