It was just a week ago that rumors were flying that the Red Sox were interested in acquiring reliever Ron Mahay from Kansas City. After last night’s performance by Mahay against the Sox, I for one am breathing a sigh of relief (no pun intended).
Mahay came into the game and immediately started giving up hits. In his one inning of work he gave up four hits and three earned runs.
I know, it’s only one appearance, but when you are disappointed that the Sox didn’t make a move to get new guys in the pen, it’s nice to see that Theo is proving you wrong. The Sox get a nice win.
