Delmon Young, reviled, hated former Twin and alleged anti-Semite is batting .267 this year with an OPS of .711 and 4 home runs. Of those statistics, among qualified players (players with at least 158 plate appearances):
– Young would have the 4th highest batting average
– Young would have the 4th highest OPS
– Young would be 5th on the team in home runs.
Now, I know what I have asserted in the past about Delmon, that the Twins would regret losing him and that he will someday be a good player. This post isn’t to suggest that. Young has not been good this year. This post was to reassert the fact that the Twins have been f’ing terrible this season.
