Delino DeShields clearly has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to performance enhancing drugs. More specifically…he has no love for Milwaukee Brewers slugger Ryan Braun.
As you might have heard, the 2011 National League MVP was suspended Monday for the rest of the season (65 games!) without pay for his involvement with the now closed Biogenesis of America, an anti-aging clinic in Florida.
"I am not perfect. I realize now that I have made some mistakes," Braun said in a statement. "I am willing to accept the consequences of those actions."
DeShields, who is currently the manager of the Cincinnati Reds' Double-A affiliate Pensacola Blue Wahoos, hit Twitter and took Braun to task.
An interesting sidenote…DeShields shared a clubhouse with suspected PED abusers Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa. One has to wonder what he thoughts are on them.
