I often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics after playing the Celtics. Here's a dose of 'enemy chatter' from Utah.
"There's a lot of things I can tolerate because I've been in this league long enough to know that he's going to talk," Jefferson said of Garnett. "He likes to hear himself talk. If that's what (excites him), congratulations on him, but he's not going to touch me on the point like, 'I'm going to punk you.' No, he's not going to do that to me. I'm a cool cat. I mean, I don't bother nobody, but he's not going to touch me and that's the bottom line."
I was glad to see Al Jefferson stand up to KG. I always thought Al was a little timid, especially during his time in Boston.
On Page 2, some entertaining comments from Jazz fans.
I pulled these comments from the game thread on SLC Dunk.com:
This is fun to watch. Can’t imagine what it would be like to be Boston and get everyone’s best shot every night.
I hate the Celts almost as much as the Lakers now
Ray Allen is the only respectable guy on their team
Look at all the douchebag bandwagoners in the arena. All the more reason I hate Boston.
The first comment should be a reminder to everyone to enjoy the moment. Not all NBA fans get to enjoy what we witness every night from the Celtics.
As for the last comment… those d-bag bandwagoners wouldn't be there if Jazz fans bought tickets.
