Drew and Youk Rehabbing With PawSox

Last night while the Sox were taking on the Yankees, two Sox players were getting one step closer to coming back to the team.  Both JD Drew and Kevin Youkilis played in a rehab game with the Pawtucket Red Sox in Rochester against the Red Wings.  Drew played RF while Youk DH’ed for the team.

JD Drew went 3 for 3 on the night before being pulled after the 5th inning.  That’s a good sign that Drew might actually have his swing back after he’s healed that shoulder injury of his.  At least that is my hope.  Youk went 1 for 3 with a walk.  Both players said they felt good to be playing in a game.  Even with the major league sluggers, the PawSox lost last night to the Red Wings behind a poor start from Greg Smith.

Tonight Drew and Youk will both be with the PawSox again.  Youk will play 3rd base and Drew will DH.  If all goes well, Drew should be activated from the DL on Thursday and Youk will be right behind him on Friday.
