As the world seemingly waited with bated breath to learn the name of the newest royal baby…the Chicago Cubs were right there to welcome her with open arms.

But the Cubs didn’t stop with a message on the Wrigley Field marquee. On Monday, the team made Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge an honorary member of the “Cubs Newborn Fan Club”.
What’s the “Cubs Newborn Fan Club”? Funny you should ask. According to the club’s website, it’s a great way to start your little Cub off right.
For a mere $45…here’s what you get:
- A customized photo announcing the birth on the historical landmark of the Wrigley Field Marquee.
- An exclusive Cubs birth certificate to hang in the newborn’s nursery.
- A Cubs baby stocking cap to help keep our smallest fans warm.
- A Cubs “Rookie of the Year” onesie to show off the loyalty around town.
Sure, the Cubs-centric gift is a far cry from some of the other presents William and Kate’s daughter was given, but, hey…at least the team didn’t present her with a cake.
