Here are all the news that’s fit to print/type for the week of July 29th:
R.I.P. Buddy Ryan – I mentioned in my article yesterday the feelings Buddy’s passing evoked in me, as a dad and a fan. There are some great articles out there from every angle – his time on the Eagles, his ties to the NFL, his love for his players – in particular his letter to the Bears players and of course a great reminder to read the Jenny Vrentas S.I. piece on the Ryan boys and chasing their dad’s legacy.
R.I.P. Dwight Adams – In some ways, Dwight’s passing was missed out on because of the passing of Buddy Ryan. Here’s a great write up on WGR on him.
Sabres Draft / FA Fun – In the next few days we’ll have some draft recap coverage from the Sabres’ staff side of the house, as well as “home team” input on the Kulikov trade and how he may fit into the Sabres system. If you have any thoughts of what else you’d like covered, hit us up and we’ll give the people what they want!
Upcoming Projects – We’re doing some fun things in the background here at Buffalo Wins. First off is more collaboration with the rest of the Bills / Sabres blogosphere. Rob Quinn (@RQuinn619) and I have started a vlog series focusing on draftees, scheme and fit with video as the focus. Here’s the second ep, where we talk about Shaq Lawson and his scheme fit. Thoughts are welcome, as well as suggestions for other videos in the future! Rob did a great job with the graphics on this – so give a peep to BuildingTheHerd.com as well!
#BWinsPod – We’re Here (insert Wyatt creepiness here). The Buffalo Wins podcast will be coming out next week – with the first episode covering some Bills thoughts, but mainly a Game of Thrones spectacular with my partner in crime Joe. THAT JOE. YUP. I KNOW RIGHT?!
I’m really excited that the two of us can start this adventure off right – and from there we’ll have some of our staff covering Sabres, Bills, Wrasslin, TV, you name it. Like the site itself, when it’s in-season we’ll be on-point, but during the off-season, we are gonna get weird.
