We’ve had a couple of weeks to let our first mock draft set in, and there has been plenty of news/prospects meeting with teams to help mold the next edition of our mock draft. The first four picks of both the first and second rounds have stayed the same, but after those picks there has been plenty of shuffling. Once again for the sake of sanity in producing this mock draft we assume there will be no trades (even though there probably will be plenty of them during the draft).

1) Tampa Bay – Jameis Winston, QB, Florida State: I still think Winston is the choice over Mariota at quarterback for Tampa Bay. On the field nobody can deny the talent Winston has, while there are still some uncertainties about how Mariota can adjust to a more pro-style offense.

2) Tennessee – Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon: The bigger question here is who will be making this pick. There are rumblings the Chargers might send Philip Rivers to Nashville for this pick. Whatever team ends up picking here is likely to take Mariota.

3) Jacksonville – Dante Fowler, DE/OLB, Florida: Could the Jags take Vic Beasley here? Sure. I think it’s unlikely they do, though.

4) Oakland – Leonard Williams, DE/DT, USC: I was thinking the Raiders might take a receiver here, but no so much with now with the recent signing of Michael Crabtree.

5) Washington – Vic Beasley, DE/OLB, Clemson: Finally a pick different from my first mock draft. The Redskins stay with the same type of player, but they opt for Beasley now after Randy Gregory’s failed drug test was made public.

6) New York Jets – Shane Ray, DE/OLB, Missouri: In my first mock draft I had the Jets taking Beasley. Now with Beasley being taken a pick ahead, the Jets take the next best option to put pressure on opposing quarterbacks.

7) Chicago – Kevin White, WR, West Virginia: A couple weeks ago I had Danny Shelton here. Now the more I think about it the more it makes sense the Bears will try and give Jay Cutler some weapons if they are stuck with him for now. White would be a perfect replacement for Brandon Marshall, and give the Bears a tremendous 1-2 combination at wide receiver.

8) Atlanta – Bud Dupree, DE/OLB, Kentucky: Much like the Redskins and Jets had to do, the Falcons have to adjust due to Gregory’s failed drug test. They don’t stray too far from their original plan though and get themselves somebody to wreck havoc in the backfield.

9) New York Giants – Brandon Scherff, OT, Iowa: No change from my first mock draft. A wide receiver like Amari Cooper or Devante Parker wouldn’t be a surprise here, but I think too much points to Scherff being the pick.

10) St. Louis – Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama: We close out the top ten with another pick with no change from my original mock. Foles & Cooper could be a fun combination to keep an eye on.

11) Minnesota – Devante Parker, WR, Louisville: Originally I had La’El Collins here, but with the depth in this draft on the offensive line the Vikings can address the need on day two. While Minnesota brought in Mike Wallace, how much must Teddy Bridgewater be lobbying for his favorite target at Louisville?

12) Cleveland – Danny Shelton, DT, Washington: The Bears and Browns essentially trade picks between the first and second mocks. The Browns don’t get a playmaking wide receiver, but they do get one of the best defensive linemen in the draft.

13) New Orleans – Randy Gregory, OLB, Nebraska: Randy Gregory falls some but his talent keeps the fall from being prolonged.

14) Miami – Trae Waynes, CB, Michigan State: I have an embarrassing confession to make. In my first mock draft I forgot to include Trae Waynes in the first two rounds. Not because I don’t think he is really good, I just lost him in the shuffle somewhere. I’m sure Miami wanted a wide receiver here, but the best ones are off the board so they upgrade the secondary.

15) San Francisco – Eric Kendricks, ILB, UCLA: No change from the first mock draft. San Francisco needs help at a number of positions on defense, but the most glaring need is at linebacker and they take one who can step into the hole Patrick Willis left them.

16) Houston – Todd Gurley, RB, Georgia: Early on I had Jaelen Strong here, but with the news about his injury I see him falling. With Arian Foster getting up there in running back years it makes sense to try and draft his heir. Plus with already having Foster, the Texans don’t need to rush Gurley to contribute immediately in the return from his knee injury.

17) San Diego – La’El Collins, OT, LSU: Melvin Gordon would still make a lot of sense with this pick, but it seems pretty hard to pass on Collins if you are the Chargers, which would allow them to form what might be the best offensive line in the NFL.

18) Kansas City – Ereck Flowers, OT, Miami (FL): It is looking like 18 might have been a little high for Dorial Green-Beckham. Instead the Chiefs solidify their offensive line. Hope you like barbecue, Ereck!

19) Cleveland – Andrus Peat, OT, Stanford: Yet again the Browns have their pick from the first mock draft already selected in the second one. At least Peat is still on the board, so they really shouldn’t be crying too much.

20) Philadelphia – Jalen Collins, CB, LSU: I had the Eagles taking Collins in the first mock draft. Seems like quite a sane pick so expect Chip Kelly to do something crazy.

21) Cincinnati – D.J. Humphries, OT, Florida: The Browns took Peat, who I had the Bengals taking a couple weeks ago, so now the Bengals slide to the next best available offensive lineman on the board.

22) Pittsburgh – Landon Collins, S, Alabama: Since the last mock draft Troy Polamalu retired, which only solidifies my confidence in the Steelers taking Collins here.

23) Detroit – Melvin Gordon, RB, Wisconsin: Last mock draft Gordon was taken six picks early. With the running back still on the board this time, the Lions pretty much have to take him after getting rid of Reggie Bush in the offseason.

24) Arizona – Eli Harold, DE/OLB, Virginia: Much like the first mock draft I have Arizona taking an outside rusher, but unlike the first I have them taking Eli Harold, who it feels like his stock has risen a little bit lately.

25) Carolina – T.J. Clemmings, OT, Pittsburgh: With D.J. Humphries getting taken a few picks earlier in this mock draft, Carolina taken another solid offensive tackle to protect Cam Newton.

26) Baltimore – Breshad Perriman, WR, Central Florida: Todd Gurley is taken off the board 10 picks earlier in this draft, so the Ravens take the talented wide receiver from Central Florida to replace Torrey Smith, and give them some insurance for the aging Steve Smith.

27) Dallas – Marcus Peters, CB, Washington: Seeing as Arizona snatched up Eli Harold a couple picks before, I have the cornerback from Washington slotted here. While Peters had some character issues in college, the Cowboys have seemed willing to overlook personal problems, especially when factoring the signing of Greg Hardy.

28) Denver – Owamagbe Odighizuwa, DE/OLB, UCLA: Denver probably would’ve loved to take T.J. Clemmings to stick on the offensive line, but he’s already gone. I could see them moving to the next best option to protect Peyton Manning, but I can also see them taking the rusher from UCLA to add to what Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware gives them.

29) Indianapolis – Arik Armstead, DE/DT, Oregon: This pick stays the same from the first mock draft as Indianapolis continues to try and bolster a defense  since their offense is already stocked with talent.

30) Green Bay – Eddie Goldman, DT, Florida State: A couple weeks ago I had Green Bay taking Jordan Phillips, but in the first mock draft I also had Goldman going to Detroit at 23. With Detroit going a different route this time, the Packers take a defensive tackle to try and stuff the Melvin Gordon pick I have Detroit taking.

31) New Orleans – Maxx Williams, TE, Minnesota: So New Orleans trades Jimmy Graham to get this pick and end up taking a tight end to replace Graham. While Williams isn’t quite as explosive as Graham, he is still a talent worthy of being taken here.

32) New England – Malcolm Brown, DT, Texas: New England moved on from Vince Wilfork, so they use this pick to take a guy who can try and make up for the loss of the monster who made himself a fixture on New England’s defensive line for years.

Second Round:

33) Tennessee – Jake Fisher, OT, Oregon

34) Tampa Bay – Cameron Erving, OT/G, Florida State

35) Oakland – Devin Smith, WR, Ohio State

36) Jacksonville – Jay Ajayi, RB, Boise State

37) New York Jets – Duke Johnson, RB, Miami (FL)

38) Washington – Kevin Johnson, CB, Wake Forest

39) Chicago – Gerod Holliman, S, Louisville

40) New York Giants – Byron Jones, CB, Connecticut

41) St. Louis – A.J. Cann, G, South Carolina

42) Atlanta – Stephone Anthony, ILB, Clemson

43) Cleveland – Phillip Dorsett, WR, Miami (FL)

44) New Orleans – Bernardrick McKinney, LB, Mississippi State

45) Minnesota – Ronald Darby, CB, Florida State

46) San Francisco – Nelson Agholor, WR, USC

47) Miami – Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State

48) San Diego – Tevin Coleman, RB, Indiana

49) Kansas City – Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Oklahoma

50) Buffalo – Shaq Thompson, LB, Washington: Last mock draft I had the Bills taking Laken Tomlinson, but I think they might look for a player to replace Kiko Alonso. Thompson was quite a playmaker at Washington, and was even playing safety for a bit. Brian Urlacher played safety in college before transitioning to linebacker, and Rex Ryan might be licking his chops to get his hands on a player in a similar mold.

51) Houston – Laken Tomlinson, G, Duke

52) Philadelphia – Cedric Ogbuchi, OT, Texas A&M

53) Cincinnati – Carl Davis, DT, Iowa

54) Detroit – Michael Bennett, DT, Ohio State

55) Arizona – P.J. Williams, CB, Florida State

56) Pittsburgh – Alex Carter, CB, Stanford

57) Carolina – Sammie Coates, WR, Auburn

58) Baltimore – T.J. Yeldon, RB, Alabama

59) Denver – Donovan Smith, OT, Penn State

60) Dallas – Paul Dawson, LB, TCU

61) Indianapolis – Quinten Rollins, CB, Miami (OH)

62) Green Bay – Denzel Perryman, LB, Miami (FL)

63) Seattle – Tre Jackson, G, Florida State

64) New England – Ali Marpet, OT/G, Hobart
