While the Internet was either praising or freaking out of the Max Talbot trade, Chiarelli also traded Jared Knight for forward Zack Phillips.

Phillips has played in 49 games for the Iowa Wild (American Hockey League) this season, recording seven goals and eight assists. The forward has appeared in 196 games at the AHL level in the Minnesota organization from 2012-15 where the 22-year-old has accrued 27 goals and 48 assists for 75 points.

The 6’1”, 178-pound native of Fredericton, NB was drafted in the first round (28th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft by the Minnesota Wild.

So obviously not an immediate impact move.

Earlier today, Boston also traded for Brett Connolly.
