After getting off to a fast start, then butchering the second quarter with miscues and drops, the Bills took control of the game in the 4th quarter in beating the Bucs 33-20.
Big plays were the theme for the Bills today. Trent Edwards connected with Lee Evans on a rainbow 32-yard TD pass within the first 4 minutes of the game, and Donte Whitner actually made a play, (hmm maybe McGee’s extension motivated him) intercepting a Leftwich pass and returning it 76 yards for a 14-0 lead.
The Bills had a 20-7 lead late in the second quarter and were driving to make the lead even bigger, when Bills fans started thinking here we go again. Ronde Barber forced a Fred Jackson fumble and Sabby Piscitelli scooped it out of midair and returned it 72 yards to the 8. Roscoe Parish did his best Don Beebe and ran down Piscitelli (sounds like an italian cookie).
