Hey Anton, welcome to the Bruins bud.
The Bruins announced today that they have signed Anton Blidh to an entry level contract. Blidh spent last season playing for Frölunda HC of the Swedish Hockey League where he scored 5 goals. He also was on the Swedish team for the U-20 World Juniors where he scored a goal:
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEVuRTLEttc]Blidh is seeing steady ice time in his second SHL season with Frolunda in 2014-15 and skated for Sweden in the 2015 World Juniors; impressing scouts with his speed and activeness inside the play. He has scored five goals for Frolunda but it has been his play away from the puck — particularly on the forecheck and in his own zone — that has kept him in the lineup. Drafted in 2013, he has yet to sign a contract with Boston and must be signed by June 2015 or he would re-enter the NHL Draft. Long-term he projects as a physical, two-way lower line forward similar in style to former Bruin P.J. Axelsson.
