The San Antonio Spurs will be looking to take back homecourt advantage as they face the Memphis
However, after two games uner their belt, Grizzlies’ Marc Gasol, head coach Lionel Hollins, and Tony Allen say aggressiveness is key for them in tonight’s game.
Grizzles’ Gasol:
“Defensively, at home, we take it to the next level,” center Marc Gasol said. “We’re running a little more because we’re tougher. For some reason, we’re more aggressive.”
Grizzlies’ Hollins:
“We’ve got to get one home win. That’s the goal: to go out and win one game, and worry about the next game when it comes,” Hollins said. “We have to go out and compete and do what it takes to win the game.”
Grizzlies’ Allen:
“We need to be more active than we were the last game. We had few deflections. We didn’t get too many steals,” Allen said. “We have to be more aggressive — like how (the Spurs) came out more aggressive in Game 2. We have to do the same thing in Game 3.”
The Spurs need to get tonight’s win and close out the Grizzles quick. The longer this series goes, the less rest San Antonio will get especially seeing how the young Oklahoma City Thunder might be waiting for them in the second round.
