Lightning netminder Mathieu Garon was hurt on Monday night versus Pittsburgh and Desjardines was recalled.
The Crunch travels to St. John’s on Friday and Saturday. The inconsistent Riku Helenius will be the starter.
In Toronto on Wednesday, the Crunch lost 6-3 to extend its losing streak to four games. In that game Helenius was pulled.
