We’re nearly nine months away from the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, and already, the magazine has started looking for its next top model…and they want you to be part of the process.
Twice a week, Sports Illustrated will be posting videos of the prospective covergirls. And first up is an 18-year-old with a familiar name.
The Instagram-loving daughter of former Major League outfielder Jose Canseco has been modeling for more than a year. You might remember her (but likely don’t) from some thing called “Summer Break 2″, a web show about, wait for it, teenagers using their cell phones to document everything.
Now, I don’t know anything about what it takes to grace the front of SI’s annual top seller, but I do know this…if Josie makes the cut, it’ll be the first time a father and a daughter have appeared on the cover of the magazine and its swimsuit issue. The elder Canseco appeared on the magazine’s cover twice. Once in 1988 and again two years later.
