Darryl Strawberry’s Kid Makes Reality Show Debut

So, I was watching the latest episode of “Love and Hip Hop” over on VH1 when I saw a familiar face.

Okay, okay…that’s a lie. I’ve never seen the show (now in its fifth season!) and, honestly, couldn’t tell you a thing about it. However, it does include a familiar face among its stars.  Well…it includes a familiar name.

Diamond Strawberry.

The 27-year-old’s show profile page insists that that is her real name, but anyone who followed her dad, eight-time All-Star Darryl, during his big league career knows that, yeah, dude named one of his kids “Diamond”.

“Being the daughter of a famous athlete is hard,” Diamond said in her pre-show interview. “I got judged judged a lot…blamed for my father’s mistakes. That made my mother smother me and make sure I stayed on the right track.”

Alright…so this is what we know so far.

Diamond has been dating Cisco Rosado for the last two years…yet, the hip hop producer has no idea the younger Strawberry has a six-year-old daughter. To make matters worse, on a recent episode, Rosado convinced Diamond to leave her daughter behind in Los Angeles and follow him to New York. Not cool, dudes.

Oh…and she talks about herself in the third person!

“Diamond is very animated, she’s very loyal, she’s loving…but she has a very, very, very bad temper,” Diamond said. “If you push my buttons, I’m snappin’.”

DAMN!

This isn’t the first time a Strawberry has appeared on reality TV either. As you might recall, Diamond’s pop appeared on season three of “The Celebrity Apprentice”. His run would be short-lived however. Darryl was let go during the third episode after asking Donald Trump to fire him.
