Everyone loves bobbleheads, right?
Well, if that’s true and the dream of Phil Sklar and Brad Novak comes to fruition, they’ll have created a place beloved by all. Friends and roommates who’ve known each other for decades, the Milwaukee duo recently announced the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum…but they’re going to need your help to get it up and running by their projected opening date in 2016.
“We are very excited to bring such a unique attraction to the great city of Milwaukee. The National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum will be a fun venue for collectors, fans and visitors to experience all things bobble-related,” Sklar said. “Kickstarter donations will really help propel the physical hall of fame and museum. We want to have a world class facility with the world’s largest collection of bobbleheads.”
Oh, and Sklar just isn’t talking about a museum full of for than 3000 wacky wobblers and nodding noggins…the 30-year-old also has his sights set on the Hall of Fame being outfitted with a bar and grill, complete with a bobblehead-themed menu.
“Every bobblehead has a meaning to it,” Sklar continued. “They are about special times and special memories. It is bigger than just the doll.”
Should the Kickstarter venture not work out, the boys say their plan is to open a “scaled-down” museum, likely in suburban Mil-town.
Either way…consider my admission ticket already purchased.
