Last time

The Celtics edged Milwaukee 105-102 in OT back in November. You may remember Kevin Garnett’s monster slam over Andrew Bogut and the mini-shoving match. Paul Pierce had 12 of his 28 points and surpassed the 20,000 point plateau.

This time

Get it to:  Kevin Garnett

The Bucks are a banged-up team. Andrew Bogut missed the last two games with a rib-cage injury and is doubtful for tonight’s game. PFs Ervan Ilyayova (concussion) and Drew Gooden (foot) are also out. It’s safe to say the game plan should involved a heavy dose of KG.

Gotta stop: Corey Maggette

A starter for most of the season, Maggette has been coming off the bench for the past few weeks since injuring his back. If Maggette plays with the second unit, Jeff Green will need to buckle down on defense since Maggette is still a fairly explosive scorer.

The Wild Card: Celtics reserves

The Celtics lost another “rotation” player when Von Wafer injured his calf Friday night. Once again Doc Rivers will be forced to piece together a second unit as Delonte West and Glen Davis are unavailable. Newly signed PG Carlos Arroyo will not join the team until Wednesday. Sasha Pavlovic will likely see his first minutes with the Celtics.

How we see it goin’ down

The Bucks are bad team in the midst of a bad stretch (lost 11 of last 15). Add a depleted front-court into the mix and all signs point to a Celtics blowout. Even if the Celtics put forth a B- effort, that should be enought to beat the Bucks by double digits. Don’t expect a lot of points for either side. Milwaukee is dead last in PPG and 4th in OPPG.
