DMac’s run with the Red Sox may have come to an end. Today Darnell McDonald was designated for assignment by the Red Sox to make room for Josh Beckett on the roster. DMac has played in far more games with the Red Sox than anyone would have guessed but with Crawford and Ellsbury joining the team soon, McDonald was the odd man out. McDonald responded to the news via twitter:
