Alfredo Aceves has recovered nicely from his last poor start by going six strong innings today and only giving one earned runs on three hits. The solid start puts Aceves back into the mix for fifth starter for the Red Sox. Aceves’ main competition, Felix Doubront, also pitched well today going six shutout innings. Bobby Valentine only has a week to make a tough decision on the rotation.
