Rest easy Sox fans, Mike Lowell will be on the team when the season begins Sunday for opening night at the Fens. The Rangers GM Jon Daniels (no relation to Jack) announced his team was no longer interested in trading for Mike Lowell while he was on XM radio today.
Victor Martinez has not heard anything from Theo and the Red Sox regarding a contract extension. The team may resume talks with V-Mart after they finish dealing with Beckett’s extension which is rumored to be close, and could be announced during the first week of the season.
