The Red Sox were shut out by the Twins today in Grapefruit League play. Jon Lester gave up four earned runs on three hits and two walks in his one and only inning. Wakefield showed he was no longer suffering from the back injury of last season by pitching two scoreless innings while giving up just one hit.
The Red Sox managed failed to score a run in the game managing just five hits off of the Twins who used eight pitchers in the game.
