The Red Sox piled up the runs in their first exhibition game of the spring against Northeastern today. Big Papi hit a two-run homer in the fourth and the rest of the teams helped open up the flood gates as the Sox scored fifteen runs on fifteen hits.
Seven Red Sox pitchers shut out Northeastern giving up just two hits. This is the seventh year in a row that the Red Sox have played and beaten Northeastern in spring training. The Huskies have a record of 3-1 in NCAA play this season.
