During an argument in a Dominican Winter League game, former Red Sox infielder (1999-2002) Jose Offerman punched an umpire. Offerman is manager of the Licey Tigers. Watch the incident below:

He was detained after the incident. This is not the first time he became violent on the field, in 2007 he attacked a pitcher with a bat during a minor league game.
