The French national team captured the silver medal at Eurobasket 2011 and stamped their spot for the 2012 Olympics in London. And to the victor goes the spoils.
The French squad, led by San Antonio Spurs’ Tony Parker, were given a hero’s welcome in France complete with hundreds of cheering fans.
“It’s hard to achieve. We are proud to represent France and we are proud to be French,” said Parker.
Parker was the last to exit the bus and received a huge ovation from fans according to the report.
Congratulations to Parker and the French squad on their accomplishment. Now, I’m sure I speak for all Spurs fans but please Parker get some rest. The Spurs will need you fresh and ready to go next season.
