The Cardinals now stand at 83-67 for the season, 3.5 games ahead of the Pirates and 5 games in front of the Brewers with an off-day on Monday before playing 12 straight to close out the season. Their magic number stands at 10.
In the race for overall best record in the NL, the Cardinals trail the Nationals by 4 in the loss column and the Dodgers by 3. Hard to not look back to those 3 consecutive losses in Cincinnati last week and pinpoint that as the moment where home field advantage evaporated.

They’re pacing for 91 wins. The over/under in Las Vegas for the 2014 season? 91.5. Those guys are good.
Barring a losing streak from the Nationals, the Cardinals will play the Dodgers in the NLDS, starting Friday October 3rd. With the Nationals playing the Wild Card play-in game winner. All games in the NLDS will be on FS1 or the MLB Network.
