PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The BIG EAST Conference has named three Connecticut players – running back Jordan Todman, linebacker Sio Moore and kicker Dave Teggart – the winners of the league’s weekly football honors for the week-ending Oct. 30.

Moore, the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week, became the second consecutive BIG EAST player to earn Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week honors after he led Connecticut to a 16-13 overtime win against West Virginia. Moore had a game- and career-high 17 tackles, including three tackles for loss and two sacks, to go with two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries as the Huskies scored their first win against the Mountaineers in seven meetings.
Teggart was tabbed as BIG EAST Special Teams Player of the Week after he made three field goals and scored 10 points, including the game-winning field goal in overtime, to lift Connecticut to a 16-13 OT win against West Virginia. He put the Huskies on the board with a 39-yard field goal with one second left in the first half and added the game-tying (26 yards) and game-winning (27 yards) kicks in the second half to help the Huskies erase an early 10-0 deficit.
