Okay UConn Huskies football fans, it’s time to ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit and the nation how much we love the Huskies in the 2010 Herbie Awards.
Today, Herbstreit has released his nominations for the 2010 Herbie Awards special that will air on Tuesday, August 31st on ESPN at 7:30 p.m.
UConn is represented in the Herbie Awards in two different categories:
- Huskies head coach Randy Edsall is nominated for Most Underrated Coach
- Huskies co-captain and linebacker Scott Lutrus is nominated for Most Instinctive Player
Only one other Big East player, Noel Devine of the West Virginia Mountaineers was nominated.
