Papa Manning is pulling for the Horse

Archie stood just outside the jubilant Colts locker room. The Manning clan — sons Cooper and Eli also were in attendance Sunday — is in full Colts mode, and will be again in two weeks.

“It’s a game I’m going to pull for my son,” Archie said. “(Saints coach) Sean Payton knows that. He’s a great friend of mine. (Saints quarterback) Drew Brees knows that. That’s just the way it is.

“Anybody who thinks it’s different must not have children.”

Archie paused.

“We’ll be there,” he said. “It’ll be eventful.”
