Puck Dumps 12/9/14

What everyone is talking about
People continue to remember NHL Legend Jean Beliveau, who had memorial services yesterday, and the Canadiens intend to have their own ceremony tonight. Fox, CBC
I
n other news, the Ottawa Senators, who are having a middling season, and are trying to compete without Jason Spezza for the first time in a decade, decided that the reason they aren’t Cup contenders is because they needed a new coach, and have fired Paul MacLean. Again, Ottawa replaced their coach before Edmonton. NBC, TSN

Scoreboard
New Jersey 2, Carolina 1 – Scott Gomez had two assists, and Jaromir Jagr had a goal and an assist. If nothing else, the Devils have experience.

New York Rangers 4, Pittsburgh 3 (OT)-  Kevin Klein lost part of his ear, but had the game winning goal. Some people like to say stuff like “that’s a real hockey player” but I think even hockey fans would say that hockey players are insane.

St. Louis 4, Florida 2 – Martin Brodeur with another win. He would be the perfect netminder for the Devils.

Tweet of the Moment

“First, I want to say that I’m OK. For the most part, we’re all OK. The Sedins are not as malicious now that they realize that there are no Finns in our midst, although they seem prepared to turn on Jannik Hansen after learning he is Danish. Please, we need your help. They are making us eat birds that they catch outside and trying to tell jokes that all have something to do with whale blubber. They are always touching our faces. The Sedins are — Oh crap, here they come!” /camera cuts to black, replaced only by a Canucks logo.
