I often get these game images and make fun of people in the crowd for not paying attention, or having their unflattering facial expression forever captured on film, but this time I want to commend the fans of Buffalo. First, it appears they are enthusiastically watching a Buffalo adult rec league team play the Toronto Maple Leafs (advantage: Buffalo rec league), and note how engrossed in the action everyone is. Even the players on the ice are all enamored of the puck (or Jochen Hecht, maybe), Everyone in the stands, however, is pretty taken by the fact that there are 5 real live hockey players right in front of them. I especially like the guy in red in the middle. Lookin’ pretty darn pleased with himself, isn’t he? I want you to pay attention to the guy at the far right in the yellow. That is what you call rapt attention. And then, one period later…

So much raw emotion! That is an AWESOME celebration. It helps too that James Reimer looks so sad, and Mike Grier couldn’t be happier that he is still playing in the NHL. But seriously, Sabres, make sure beardy in the yellow up there is at every single one of your games.
